"Arkansas Delta Blues" is what it is. You either get Delta Blues or you don’t. Like water being H2O, this song is three things: two parts soil and one part soul. Two parts guitar, one part drum, simmer real slow and then bring to a boil.

When the De La Vega cousins parted, it was on good terms. Don David went to go play with Buddy Miles and Don Jorge with Jimmy Rogers. Their paths crossed in the summer of ‘74 when both had a week off in Memphis and spent time across the river and up the road in Osceola with Albert King playing at his joint The Harlem Club.

The time off helped them renew their friendship. Playing with Albert King in The Delta was something that reminded them of how their love of the blues would eventually bring them back together.
